Sunny

sunnyWe adopted our female yellow lab, Sunny, when she was almost 3 years old. She had been feasting off of the avocados that would fall from a tree in her previous owner's backyard. There is no easy way to put this - she was OBESE. The vet said she needed to lose 15 lbs, easily. We tried every "diet" dog food out there...we did portion control, exercise regimens...you name it. Nothing worked. Then I remembered James...who had trained my mom's dog down in San Diego - and the food he fed his dogs. I called him up - and the rest is history. I just took Sunny to her annual check-up...she has lost 12 lbs in 12 months (a very safe pace)...and is the 'poster dog' for good health. The vet wanted to know our secret...she even marveled at the the lack of tartar buildup on Sunny's teeth, the shiny condition of her coat, and the absence of what were once chronic ear infections. On another equally important note - James and Allison provide the BEST customer service of any company in any industry I have ever dealt with. They are so friendly, helpful, and accessible. I cannot say enough good things all around!

Bleu

BleuJames helped my dog Bleu and I when it came to house training and walking. I am Bleu's fourth owner and I finally understood why. He is a sweet boy, but was never allowed in a house.  With all of my years experience with dogs, I could not train Bleu.  James was my/Bleu's last resort.   After one session of training, we were on the road to a happy life together.  One month later Bleu has full access in the house while I am gone and walks GREAT on the leash.  My neighbor's can't believe the transformation.  I can't belive the transformation.  Bleu has become the wonderful companion I was hoping for.   I would recommend James to anyone looking for dog training help.  Thank you so much!!!!

Wrigley

wrigleyI was referred to James of Who’s Walking Who? by a friend.  I had a 3 month old puppy who I was struggling to house train.  I haven’t had a puppy in years so I really needed help.  The first thing that James did was to recommend a different type of food.  He put Wrigley on a raw meat diet which immediately helped our potty training battle by reducing the number of times Wrigley had to go.  Let’s just say that for a while, I was convinced the words “puppy” and “poopy” were interchangeable!  But James’ raw meat recommendation was spot on.  And Wrigley LOVES the food.  She does spectacular spins all around the kitchen when I feed her!

So James happily sent me on my way with new food and some basic potty training tips.  But Wrigley proved to be a much tougher case.  She got to a point where she would go outside and potty and then come right back in the house and leave us little “presents” behind all of the furniture.  So I called in the expert, James, again.  He came right over to my house and watched how we were interacting with Wrigley.  He showed me all of the ways I could train her and one of his suggestions was the Tri-Tronics pet collar.  I was a little horrified by the idea of an electrical stimulant but I have to say, it was a much more humane way to train an especially small dog with a very strong will.

With just a couple of lessons with James, Wrigley has become the kind of dog everyone would like to have.  She’s happy, obedient, and best of all….she doesn’t leave us “presents” in the house any more.

While the collar and the food have been helpful, it is James’ expertise that has pulled it all together for us.  We are happier pet owners and Wrigley is a happier dog. We owe it all to James!

Kevin

James was truly understanding of my tight schedule and reluctance that any training would work on my out-of-control Pug, Kevin. Despite my reluctance, I had him over for a home demonstration. I was completely blown away! My incorrigible dog listened to orders for the first time! It was absolutely unbelievable. Today, my little Kevin is well-behaved and has stopped all the barking, chewing and biting that was destroying my life (and my furniture!). I cannot thank him enough.

Maya

Maya was only 8 wks old when we got her. She was shy, very distant and didn't listen to a word we said. We couldn't even get her to come when we called her name! She would just stare at us with complete disregard and continue about her business. Then we called James and everything changed. Since then she's become part of the family. We take her everywhere with us and wherever we go people are always so impressed on how well-behaved and responsive she is. We even put on mini-demos for them! The people love it and Maya loves showing off! The relationship and bond we've developed with our puppy through Who's Walking Who? Dog Training is immeasurable. We can't thank you enough for helping us!

Kasper

We would like to thank Brian for all of his help with our 2 year old 100lb Rottweiler, Kasper. We had aggression and dominance issues with Kasper from an early age, and had tried several other trainers and spent several thousand dollars, before finding Brian and his company - Who's Walking Who? Kasper was a nightmare when other dogs were present, he constantly wanted to fight them, and we also had food aggression problems with Kasper becoming very protective of bones and chews. The previous trainers (some of whom ‘specialized' in rottweilers) gave us mixed advice, ranging from “I can relocate Kasper for you” to insisting that Kasper wore a muzzle all the time he was outdoors. We tried intensive Doggy Boot Camps at significant cost, where the results were less than satisfying.

Brian was completely different to all of the other trainers we had used, he worked with Kasper, and we saw immediately he had no fear of Kasper, something the other trainers had shown. In fact Brian had Kasper playing fetch with his favorite bone the first time he tried it, I could not believe my eyes. He went back to basics with us, teaching us as well as training Kasper, we had been advised badly in the past, we were doing so many things wrong, within a short period we had a completely different dog.

Kasper is now a well balanced dog, with no aggression issues at all, he appears much happier to be this way too. He is a loving dog now, a dog we take great pleasure in owning. Thank you Brian for all of your help, we wish you the very best of luck with your business, I would not hesitate to recommend Brian to anyone, and have already done so, this guy knows dogs.

Whiskey

When I began looking for a dog trainer, I was having difficulty finding one because of my disability. Going to a facility was not an option, so when Who's Walking Who? offered a demonstration and classes in my home, I jumped at the chance. I couldn't believe the difference in my dog from just the demonstration.

Scooter

The training we received has turned our out-of-control puppy into a wonder dog. Had it not been for your expertise and patience, I don't know if we would have been able to keep him. Thanks to you, it is impossible to imagine him NOT being here.

Grey

We were ready to take our dog, Grey, to the pound. He was constantly whining, digging, and disobeying our commands. Calling Who's Walking Who? saved Grey from the pound. The results from our new training techniques were instant. Now Grey is a new dog and much happier now that we know how to communicate with him. I can't believe we were almost ready to get rid of him.

T-Bone

T-Bone was three and a half years old before we adopted him in August 2006 had spent 2 years at Living Free, a pet sanctuary. He was a biter, so was hard to place. After trying a beginners training class and T-Bone biting two people, in desperation we contacted Who's Walking Who?.

Brian came to our home, gave us a lot of information and explained his training methods. On Brian's second visit T-Bone bit him. Now after a total of six visits T-Bone sits in Brian's lap and a friend's lap, waits at the door, comes and over all is a little more accepting of humans. You see T-Bone is socialized with dogs but not humans. His groomer Amy said she did not have to muzzel him on his last visit when he got his summer cut, face, paws and all. Now that is definitely moving forward!
Thank you so much,
- Wanda, Skip & T-Bone

Buck

I just wanted to send you a note thanking for the help with the training of our dog Buck. We we're on the verge of getting rid of Buck because he was a complete nightmare. But we decided to give Who's Walking Who? a call and we are so thankful that we did.

Brian came to our home and did an assessment of Buck and felt that he was trainable and that he could make him a true member of the family. After your first visits we saw a big difference in Buck and of course we had to be trained also. We have gone to a number of park training sessions and I am happy to report that Buck has indeed become a member of the family and is a joy to have in the house and we can now walk him daily. We look forward to many enjoyable years with Buck and the joy he brings to our family. Thank you again for your help and we wish you continued success.
